We compared all the proteins identified in our study to those known vesicular proteins in the Exocarta (38, 39) and Vesiclepedia databases (40, 41). Among the 443 identified proteins, 334 (75.4%) proteins were found in previously published data (Figure 3B, Table S2), including the common exosomal markers CD9, CD81, flotillin and syntenin.
